Framed Persian Pictorial Silk & Wool Souf Carpet ("The Royal Proposal")

This striking contemporary Persian pictorial Souf carpet renders a glamorous cinematic portrait woven with exceptional clarity and depth. The composition depicts a stylish woman in a dramatic, draped midnight-blue mermaid gown standing poised as a gentleman in a tailored blue suit kneels to kiss her hand against a misty, garden backdrop.

The tapestry features a sophisticated palette dominated by electric and sapphire blues, deep navy, cool grays, and natural lawn greens. Woven with high-density precision, the raised relief and silky luster signature to Souf craftsmanship bring a three-dimensional quality to the sculpted drapery and figures. Presented in an ornate, antique gold-finished frame, this piece serves as a unique statement work combining modern pop-cultural portraiture with traditional Persian textile art.
